Working Conditions & Child Labour Our suppliers guarantee that no child labour occurs. Annual audits are conducted, including by Fair Working Conditions (FWC) – an international organization promoting respect for human rights in the supply chain. It is ensured that no employees are under the age of 15, in accordance with ILO regulations for developing countries.
Down & Feather – Ethically Sourced
All down and feathers used in our furniture are not collected from live birds. The materials are treated at a minimum of 110 °C for 30 minutes to ensure hygiene and quality. Veterinary certificates are provided.
EU Timber Regulation
Artwood complies with the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR), established in 2013 and approved by the Swedish Forest Agency. This regulation aims to combat illegal logging and prevent trade in illegally harvested timber within the EU.
Teak – FSC Certified & Sustainably Sourced
All our teak furniture is made exclusively from plantation-grown, FSC-certified teak. We support responsible forestry that protects the environment and local communities.
Reclaimed Wood – Safe & Certified
Our suppliers of reclaimed wood furniture guarantee that all materials have undergone a cleaning and safety process to ensure they are free from harmful substances. Regular testing is performed to uphold this standard.
Chemical Safety – REACH Compliance
We comply with the REACH regulation under the EU Chemicals Agency. This includes taking responsibility for documenting chemical substances used in our products and conducting risk assessments to ensure they do not harm people or the environment.
