Headboards & bed frames in various styles
With a new headboard, you can quickly and easily transform the atmosphere in your home and create your dream bedroom—or a lovely inviting guest room.
In our range, you’ll find several classic, padded headboards in luxurious velvet and crisp linen. Some of them feature beautiful details like tufted buttons or a decorative frame of furniture nails or studs along the edge, while others have a more stripped-down, minimalist design.
Tufted buttons can also be found on some of our elegant leather headboards. A leather headboard gives the room a classic and exclusive feel.

More tips for a cozy bedroom
- Achieve balance in the bedroom by matching the bed with beautiful bedside tables. They can follow the same style as the headboard, but you can also choose a material or design that contrasts a bit for more dynamism in the room.
- For the right, inviting hotel feel, make the bed with new, fresh bedding, and perhaps add a beautiful throw blanket along with a bedspread and long, slender pillows.
- Dress the bedroom according to the season. Crisp linen and cool cotton are usually comfortable in the summer. During winter, it can be delightful to have pillows and throws in soft faux fur.
Do I need to have a headboard?
No, but a headboard makes the bed and the bedroom cozier, and also serves more functions than just being aesthetically pleasing. With a padded headboard in fabric or leather, you get comfortable back support during late evenings and early mornings—comfortable whether you’re reading, working, or streaming a good series. Other benefits of a padded headboard include improving the sound environment in the bedroom and actually providing some insulation against cold if your bed is against a chilly exterior wall. Regardless of which headboard you choose, it also protects your wall from dirt and wear.
Keep this in mind when choosing measurements
Tailor the size of the headboard to your bed, but also consider the size of the room, both in terms of floor space and ceiling height.
Standard widths are 90 cm for a single bed and 180 cm for a double bed. It’s common for the headboard to be as wide as the bed or slightly wider.
Adjust the height based on the bed’s height, the room’s ceiling height, and the atmosphere you want to create in the room. We have headboards that are 140 cm tall but also taller variants measuring 180 cm in height.
For a truly grand impression, opt for one of our bed frames for a canopy bed. Note, however, that the canopy itself is not included; you’ll need to purchase it separately. Alternatively, you can use the majestic bed frame as it is, which is also very beautiful and impactful.
How do I attach the headboard?
Most headboards stand on the floor and are wedged between the bed and the wall. Heavier headboards may benefit from being attached to the wall, and if your bed is in the middle of the room, the headboard may need to be attached to the bed base. Typically, both brackets and instructions are included with the purchase. If you’re unsure, you can always contact the store for advice.

Wooden headboards
- Clean your wooden headboard or bed frame by wiping it with a lightly damp cloth, possibly with a little soap in the water.
- Wood with irregular surfaces can be vacuumed with a soft brush.
- Wooden headboards may also benefit from being waxed with Spray Wax occasionally to prevent liquids and dirt from penetrating the surface.
Fabric headboards
- Vacuum your fabric headboard regularly with a soft brush attachment.
- It’s also advisable to treat the headboard with fabric impregnation to better resist dirt.
- For stains, we recommend washing the fabric as soon as possible. Textile clean & protect contains a water-based cleaning foam for washing and impregnation for continued protection.
Leather headboards
- Vacuum the leather headboard with a soft brush to remove dust, then wipe it with a lightly damp cloth.
- If the leather gets small scratches or abrasions, you can try to gently “rub out” them with a clean finger. Stains are usually easy to wipe away with a lightly damp cloth.
- We also recommend cleaning and caring for your leather headboard regularly with Leather clean & protect (not suitable for suede, nubuck, or bycast).
Rattan headboards
- Vacuum your rattan headboard regularly with a soft brush attachment on the vacuum cleaner. You can also wipe the headboard with a lightly damp cloth.
- If you spill something on your rattan headboard, you should rinse it off with water and/or wipe away the spill as soon as possible, or else the material may get permanent stains. Do not use strong cleaning agents as they can damage the rattan.
- Natural rattan can become dry over time. Therefore, occasionally moisturize your rattan headboard with a spray bottle of water.
